Privacy Policy

Mundo Tuni: Aprende Jugando · Version 1.4 · October 21, 2026

This is an English translation of the privacy policy, which was originally written in Spanish (es-ES). Versión en español.

The essentials

  • We do not ask for the child's name, date of birth, location or an account.
  • At the start, the app asks the grown-up for the child's approximate age (this can be skipped) and stores only an age band (age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6) on the device to adjust which games appear and how difficult they are. The grown-up can change it in the grown-up area. The app does not send it to any service.
  • There is no advertising and no analytics on the child's behavior.
  • Progress, preferences and usage counters are stored only on the device.
  • Purchases are handled by RevenueCat with a pseudonymous technical identifier (a random code, with no name or email); automatic collection of device identifiers is turned off.
  • On iOS, RevenueCat uses Apple's standard Apple Ads attribution (AdServices), without IDFA or cross-app tracking.
  • From the grown-up area, you can prepare a request to delete the technical purchase profile.
  • The grown-up area and purchases are protected by a parental check.
  • Only if a grown-up turns it on, the language corner uses the microphone so the child can hear their own voice when repeating a word. The recording stays on the device, is deleted as soon as it plays and is never sent.

1 Who we are

Data controller: Elrond2, independent developer. Contact email: hola@mundotuni.com.

App: Mundo Tuni: Aprende Jugando
Bundle ID: es.mundotuni.tuni
Platforms: iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play)
Languages: Spanish, Catalan and English. The grown-up area is shown in the same language as the game.

This policy explains what data is involved when the app is used. Mundo Tuni does not ask for the child's name, date of birth or an account. It only asks, optionally, for the child's approximate age in order to choose an age band (age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6), which adjusts the games and their difficulty and is stored on the device (section 4). Learning progress is also stored on the device. For premium access, the RevenueCat SDK starts when the app opens and uses a pseudonymous technical identifier; when you buy or restore a purchase, it also processes the transaction information provided by Apple or Google. On iOS, AdServices makes it possible to attribute installs or purchases to Apple Ads. All of this is explained in sections 5 and 8.

2 Scope and users

Mundo Tuni: Aprende Jugando is an educational app for girls and boys ages 2 to 6, intended to be used under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian ("guardian").

It is designed from the start to protect children's privacy: it does not require registration or ask for information that identifies the child. The only question about the child is their approximate age, which is stored as a band and does not leave the device. The game and the educational content work offline. The purchase, restore and attribution features described in this policy do connect to external services when a network is available.

3 Data we do not ask for

The app does not ask the child or the grown-up for any of the following:

  • First or last name.
  • Email address or phone number.
  • Precise location (GPS).
  • IDFA or GAID advertising identifiers.
  • Biometric or health data, or photos.
  • Device contacts.
  • Camera. The microphone is only used if a grown-up turns on “Repeat with the microphone”, and the recording never leaves the device (section 4).
  • Browsing history or use of other apps.
  • Payment data or banking information.

The only question about the child is their approximate age, which the app asks the grown-up during the initial introduction, which can be skipped and which the grown-up can change later in the grown-up area. Neither the exact age nor the date of birth is stored, only a band (age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6), and only on the device (section 4).

If you write to us for help, to send feedback or to exercise a right, we will process your email address and the content of your message in order to reply (section 10). The hola@mundotuni.com mailbox is hosted on Apple's iCloud Mail.

No accounts and no advertising. The educational content does not need a connection. Mundo Tuni has no server of its own for progress: it uses RevenueCat, Apple and Google for purchases and, on iOS, AdServices for Apple Ads attribution.

4 Data stored on the device

The app stores information it needs to work in the device's local storage (SharedPreferences and the app's own storage). This data is not sent to the developer or to RevenueCat. It is deleted when the app is uninstalled, although operating system backups may keep it if you have them set up that way.

Data Purpose Type Where
Learning progress
(activities, stars and difficulty adjustment; also the level reached in each math game and the words the child has heard or chosen in the language corner with Lola)
Remember progress, adapt the experience and show progress to the grown-up in the grown-up area Local state, no name or account Local only
Age band
(age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6; chosen during the initial introduction and changed in the grown-up area, under "Your child's age")
Adjust which games appear and how difficult they are (for example, counting to 5 or to 10). If the question is skipped, the age 3 band is used Approximate value, with no exact age or date of birth Local only
Preferences
(sound; game language and, for Spanish, the Spain or Latin America variant; Tuni's subtitles; colorblind support; showing or hiding the language corner; chosen play time and reminders)
Keep the settings chosen by the family Local preferences Local only
Play time and end of session
(time played in the current session, when the break ends and how many sessions have ended)
Let Tuni wrap up the game calmly when the chosen time is reached, even if the app is closed and reopened, and keep Tuni from always saying the same goodbye Durations, times and a counter Local only
Rewards, initial introduction and notices
(stickers and where they are placed in the album, aquarium friends, which rewards Tuni has already explained, the initial introduction and news notices already seen)
Keep the rewards and avoid repeating the explanations, the introduction or the notices Local state, no account Local only
Days played
(the last day played, the last day Tuni said hello and the last item played in each world)
Show the grown-up the date of the last session, choose how Tuni greets the child on returning, move the reminder to the next day if the child has already played that day and highlight the last item played in each world Dates and local state Local only
Usage counters Show the grown-up how many times certain actions have been taken (for example, opening the purchase screen) and decide when to suggest a rating. The grown-up can copy a report from the grown-up area; the app does not send it Counters and dates per type of action Local only
This data stays on the device. It does not contain the child's name or an account and is not linked to the RevenueCat technical purchase profile. The app does not transmit the age band or the progress to RevenueCat, Apple, Google or any other service. Only system backups, if you have them turned on, may include the local data.

Reminders. If the grown-up turns them on in the grown-up area, the app asks the system for notification permission and schedules a daily reminder as a local notification on the device itself. It does not go through any server.

Repeat with the microphone. It is off by default. If the grown-up turns it on in the grown-up area, the app asks the system for microphone permission. Then, in the language corner, when Lola teaches a word, the app listens for a few seconds, stores the child's voice in a temporary file on the device, plays it once so the child can compare it with Lola's, and deletes it right then. The voice is not kept, is not sent to any service and is not transcribed: the app only measures its volume to know when the child starts and stops speaking. It can be turned off at any time in the grown-up area, or the permission can be withdrawn in the device settings.

How to delete this data

  • From the grown-up area: progress, stickers and counters can each be reset separately. The age band and the preferences cannot be deleted from here (the age band can be changed under "Your child's age"), and neither can, among other data, the aquarium friends, the days played or the play time state.
  • By uninstalling the app: all of its local storage is deleted, including the age band and the preferences, except for anything kept in operating system backups.

5 Third parties and external services

Mundo Tuni does not include advertising, social networks or analytics on the child's behavior. It does use RevenueCat for purchases and, on iOS, Apple Ads attribution through AdServices. Specifically:

  • No advertising: there are no ads of any kind.
  • No behavioral analytics: Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude and similar tools are not used to observe the child.
  • No cross-app tracking: IDFA and GAID are not used, and the RevenueCat configuration turns off automatic collection of device identifiers.
  • No social networks: there are no share buttons and no sign-in with other platforms.
  • No server of our own: the developer has no servers, databases or cloud services for game progress.

RevenueCat (purchase management)

Purchases are managed with the RevenueCat SDK (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which acts as a data processor. The SDK starts when the app opens to check whether there is premium access and to load the purchase options. To do so, it uses a pseudonymous technical identifier: a random code generated by the SDK itself that does not contain anyone's name or email. RevenueCat may also receive the technical metadata it needs to provide the service, such as the app and operating system versions or the IP address of the connection. When you buy or restore a purchase, it also receives the transaction information provided by Apple or Google.

The app does not assign the grown-up's name or email, or any data about the child, to that profile, and it expressly turns off automatic collection of device identifiers. Nor does the app send RevenueCat a custom paywall impression event: the counter of times the purchase screen has been opened stays on the device.

RevenueCat stores data on servers in the United States. That transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, included in its data processing agreement. You can ask us for information about these safeguards, and for a copy, at hola@mundotuni.com. More information in RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Apple Ads attribution (iOS only)

On iOS, the RevenueCat SDK obtains the attribution token that Apple provides through AdServices and sends it to RevenueCat, which asks Apple whether the install came from an Apple Ads campaign. If it did, RevenueCat stores in the technical profile the campaign data returned by Apple (campaign, ad group, keyword and attribution type). We use it only to measure, in aggregate, which campaigns work. This is Apple's standard attribution: it does not use IDFA, does not require the tracking permission (ATT), does not allow anyone to be tracked across apps or websites and does not include the child's name, age band or progress.

Request to delete the technical purchase profile

From the grown-up area, you can prepare an email to hola@mundotuni.com asking for the RevenueCat technical profile to be deleted. Only when the grown-up confirms does the app obtain the technical identifier and include it in the draft. The app does not copy that identifier into logs or into its own storage, and it does not send the email on its own: the grown-up sends it if they wish.

Deleting that profile does not delete local progress and does not cancel, refund or remove the purchase made with Apple or Google. Afterwards, you may need to use "Restore Purchases" to recover premium access.

App store ratings

When you enter the grown-up area, the app may ask the system to show Apple's or Google's rating dialog, and from that area you can also open the store page to write a review. The rating is handled by the store: the app does not receive the score or any account data.

This website

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., United States). GitHub logs the IP address of visitors for security purposes, as described in its privacy statement. The website does not use cookies or analytics, and its fonts and images are served from the website itself.

App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google may collect download and app performance statistics under their own privacy policies, over which we have no control. These operations are independent of how the app works.

6 AI-generated voice, sound and illustrations

Tuni's voice lines, the sound effects and the background music in the app were generated with artificial intelligence tools, as were the illustrations.

Tools and licenses. Tuni's voice, the sound effects and the music were generated with ElevenLabs (speech synthesis, ElevenLabs Sound Effects and ElevenLabs Music), under the commercial license of the Starter plan. The illustrations (logo, icons, backgrounds, stickers, creatures and word pictures) were created with ChatGPT. Full credits are on the "Credits" screen in the grown-up area.

All of this content was generated during development and ships inside the app. The app does not record or process the voice, image or sounds of the user or the child, and it does not send data to ElevenLabs or OpenAI.

7 Parental control

The grown-up area and access to purchases are protected by a parental check: a simple arithmetic problem (an addition; for the 4 to 6 age band, a multiplication) that makes it harder for a young child to get into the settings, purchases and links that lead out of the app (this policy, support and email). Even so, we recommend that a grown-up supervise the use of the app.

The check:

  • Is solved entirely on the device, offline.
  • Does not keep any log of access.
  • Does not ask for a password, PIN or any personal data.

8 Purchases: freemium model

Part of the content is free, and the rest is unlocked with a one-time purchase of premium access.

Purchases are made only through the official payment systems of Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). Payment is processed by the store: the developer does not receive card data or banking information.

To check, validate and restore premium access, the app uses RevenueCat (section 5), with a pseudonymous technical identifier and, when there is a transaction, with the purchase information provided by the store.

The purchase screen is always behind the parental check, as the store rules for children's apps require.

9 Children under 13 (COPPA, United States)

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) requires online services directed to children under 13 to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from those children.

How Mundo Tuni handles children's data

Mundo Tuni does not ask for the child's name, date of birth, email or an account. It only asks the grown-up, optionally, for the child's approximate age, which is stored as a band on the device to adjust the games and their difficulty. Progress and that band stay on the device. RevenueCat starts in order to check premium access and the purchase options with a pseudonymous technical identifier; buying requires an action by a grown-up after the parental check. On iOS, AdServices provides the Apple Ads attribution described in section 5.

  • The app does not ask for the child's name, date of birth or email.
  • The age band (age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6) is stored only on the device, and the app does not send it to any service.
  • There is no user registration and no profiles with personal data.
  • There is no advertising of any kind.
  • Geolocation is not used.
  • If a grown-up turns on the microphone, the child's voice is not collected: it is played back and deleted on the device itself.
  • The technical purchase profile does not receive the age band, the progress or any other activity of the child.

10 Children in the European Union (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) gives children's data enhanced protection.

What we process and on what legal basis

  • Data that stays on the device (progress, age band, preferences, counters and the rest of the data in section 4): we do not receive it. The app uses it on the device itself in order to work.
  • Purchases and restoring them: performance of the purchase contract requested by the grown-up (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Checking for a purchase when the app opens, having the purchase offer ready and measuring Apple Ads campaigns on iOS: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping purchased access available without asking the grown-up for anything, in being able to offer the purchase and in knowing which campaigns work, using pseudonymous data, without IDFA and without the child's name, age band or progress. You can object by writing to hola@mundotuni.com.
  • Handling requests to exercise rights: compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Answering support questions and feedback: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in replying to people who write to us.

Without a connection, or without an Apple or Google account, you cannot buy or restore the purchase; the rest of the app works the same.

How long it is kept

Local data, until you uninstall the app; progress, stickers and counters, also until you reset them from the grown-up area (section 4). The RevenueCat technical profile, for as long as the app offers purchases and the profile is needed to restore them, or until you request its deletion; after an erasure request we will delete what is appropriate, except what we must keep because of a legal obligation (section 5). Support emails and rights requests, for as long as needed to handle them and, for rights requests, to be able to show that they were handled.

Privacy by design

  • Data minimization: progress and the age band stay on the device; RevenueCat has automatic identifier collection turned off, and the app reads the technical identifier only when the grown-up prepares a deletion request.
  • Purpose limitation: local data is used only for the purpose for which it is stored.
  • Confidentiality: the only external flows are the purchase and attribution flows described in section 5.

International transfers

The data processed by RevenueCat is stored in the United States, with the safeguards described in section 5 (Standard Contractual Clauses). We make no other international transfers of personal data.

Data Protection Officer

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. For any question about data protection, write to us at hola@mundotuni.com.

11 Rights of parents and guardians

You can exercise these rights by writing to hola@mundotuni.com. To locate the technical purchase profile, use the request prepared from the grown-up area (section 5).

  • Access: find out what information is processed in connection with the use of the app.
  • Erasure: request deletion of the RevenueCat technical profile. Uninstalling the app only deletes local storage and does not replace this request.
  • Rectification: correct any inaccurate data.
  • Objection and restriction: object to processing based on legitimate interest or ask for it to be restricted.
  • Portability: receive the data in a structured format.
  • Complaint: to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es) or to the supervisory authority of your EU country.

We respond within one month at most from receiving the request.

12 Security

  • Local data is kept in the app's private storage, which other apps on the device cannot access.
  • Purchase and attribution connections are encrypted, using the mechanisms of the services described in section 5.
  • The grown-up area is protected by the parental check described in section 7.

The security of the device (passcode, system updates, etc.) depends on whoever manages it.

13 Changes to this policy

This policy may change to reflect changes in the app or in the law. When it changes:

  • We will update the version and the date shown at the beginning and at the end of this document.
  • If a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before applying the change.

Changes in version 1.4 (October 21, 2026), compared with version 1.3: the app is for girls and boys ages 2 to 6, and the age band has three options (age 2, age 3 or ages 4 to 6) which, besides being chosen during the initial introduction, can be changed in the grown-up area; if the question is skipped, the age 3 band is used. The streak is removed from the table, because the app no longer shows or stores it: updating the app deletes from the device the count of consecutive days that was still stored. The table in section 4 details the new data, all of it stored on the device only: the game language and its variant, play time and the end of session, Tuni's subtitles, colorblind support, the reward explanations already seen, progress in the math games and in the language corner, the days played and the last item played in each world. It states the app's languages (Spanish, Catalan and English), with the grown-up area in the game language, and the policy is also published in English. “Repeat with the microphone” is added, optional and off by default: the child's voice is played back and deleted on the device, without being sent or kept (sections 3 and 4). The contact email becomes hola@mundotuni.com, hosted on iCloud Mail (Apple).

Changes in version 1.3 (September 24, 2026), compared with version 1.1: it explains the optional question about the child's approximate age, which is stored as a band on the device only; it details that RevenueCat starts when the app opens with a pseudonymous technical identifier, Apple Ads attribution through AdServices without IDFA, reminders, app store ratings, the deletion request from the grown-up area and the handling of emails and of visits to this website; it states the legal bases, the retention periods and the safeguard for transfers to the United States (Standard Contractual Clauses); and it replaces the licensing note with the tools used (ElevenLabs for voice, sound effects and music; ChatGPT for the illustrations).
